Did you make up the lyrics? Is this a real song? If it is, can you tell me what it is so that I can listen to it?

Anyway, I liked this little ficlet. It would've been my perfect cup of tea if you had delved into Eric's thoughts a bit more, but I'll settle with this.

Oh, and I think it's strangely visionary that you bet if The Little Mermaid ever went to Broadway, they'd have a song like this. Prince Eric sings, "Her Voice", which isn't exactly like this, but it goes along similar lines. I just have to say kudos to you for seeing into the future ^.~

Great story! I liked the song, but I have some infomation that you may find interesting. The Little Mermaid IS coming to Broadway! It's still in development at the moment, and it will feature both songs from the film and new original songs. Why not do a Google search about the new show? A good website I like is called Disney Love, and it's a dot com address.

Just a heads-up, despite what the previous reviewer says, as far as I know, the songfic ban does NOT extend to songs on which you yourself hold the copyright. So, perhaps you should state more explicitly that you did in fact write this song, and add a bit more content (thoughts perhaps) in between lines/verses. Then you should be fine. And I really liked the song.
