I think you captured much of River's spirit in this story. It was a very calculated move she made on Jayne, knowing that he would over-exert himself and be in a compromising situation. I like how you have River knowing what she can get away with and for how long. I also like how this leaves Jayne completely powerless and frustrated in her presence. I've seen you do others like these, so I'm hoping that you may sew them together in some way.
