That was fantastic! Vala is one of my new favorite characters, so I loved how you threw her into the mix! I was not expecting that at all, but I really love how it worked out!

this sounds like a very good story. i watched last weeks ep of CIC and one of the senators (Senator Peck) was played by the SGC's ever loving senator and later VP, and head of the NID you guessed it Kinsey! (least it looked like Kinsey, cant find anything to prove my point yet) This story could go far, i'd like to see it continue

Now, wait until news about the Atlantis expedition turns up, what the Wraith are, and Vala's antics at the Appropriations committee (I think it would be just hilarious if Allen is watching an internal feed, or standing at the door to the room during that stunt! ::snicker:: Plus, I am sure Daniel will say something to the effect of Kill me, Kill me now, as soon as the committee leaves the room, and starts repeatedly hitting his head on the table...

Hammond peers in to observe Daniel's mortification and starts laughing; Allen say, 'General Hammond, where's General O'Neill?'

Hammond shrugs, 'How the heck should I know? I just got a message from Carter that Thor dropped by, beamed him up and 'went swanning off around Universe on an extended intra-galactic sightseeing cruise, and you're not sticking me with his job...' so you get me back, or you can pull his mini out of high-school...

Both Allens' eyebrows go way up.

OK, I've never seen the show you've crossed over with. I have a great imagination though, and it's been a while since I've used it. My pet theory is that Thor really did kidnap Jack for season 9, and gave him some kind of phone rigged, like in Dr. Who, so he can keep in touch for what is going on around Earth and Atlantis.

And poor Jackson, wouldn't it be his luck if he had to meet Madam President and Mr. Allen after realizing she witnessed the entire Vala/Committee scene (which may not have increased their budget, but made humor cup full for the day.

Don't worry about the O'Neil/O'Neill thing - this is your first SG fic. I did exactly the same thing in my first fic. The main thing is that it is a well written story and that you have the people from both the shows in character.

I am hoping you don't stop it there. Could you do another chapter or sequel? I would love it if this president goes to the SGC. Meets with SG-1. Teal'c pouch. Wonder if she or her husband will get the urge to go trough the gate see it for themselves.

I have to tell you that ONeill is written with two (2) Ls, not one. And if I have to tell you the truth, I didnt like the story cause you couldnt write ONeill in the right way. Check that PLEASE!
