Yes! I think you brilliantly captured both brothers. Sam seems so ready to fight about everything just to prove he is independant, while Dean seems to consider when and if to confront his dad. I do think Dean agrees with Dad on most things and also respects his dad but obviously he can disobey when it is warranted.
You filled in the blanks that the show left to our imagination.

This is great and anyone who watches the show knows this tone:
"Sam asks in that confrontational tone that always grates on Dean's nerves. The tone that says he will squabble and argue with whatever the answer is."
Oh - this is strong, and I so agree:
"He has ideas and opinions of his own. Normally they coincide with his father's; if that makes him seem whipped, then so be it. He does what he has to do, takes what he has to take."
There should definitely, definitely, be more :)
