This is such a beautiful fic. I think Kenshin is the type of person who would really want a child...and just how much he wants it you show in this fic.

omgosh, that is so beautiful! Im not really a fan of ficlets, but this is well done!

That was so sweet. By the second paragraph, I knew it would be a happy ending. I like how you thought about something that most people overlook in the series, and applied your awesome writing skills of doom.

I like the tones of desperation you put in, emphasising the word "miraculous" and using "thirst" (I am in love with well-chosen verbs!)

Nice tying together in the last sentence. All around a GREAT piece.

I love the wording. In a breath you go from so sadly poignant, ("No one loved him for his flesh and blood only. There was no one who peered into his face to see signs of himself, herself, in his eyes, nose, lips.") to joyous ("How miraculously, this had changed."). I love the greed they have for the joy and sense of continuity from themselves to their new baby ("...such thirsty eyes..."). For two people with sad and lonely pasts, you capture a special moment beautifully.
