All righty, I started reading the sequel before this one, and then I realized that I had NO CLUE what was going on, so I read this one in its entirety. Great story! The plot was intriguing, the characters were believable, and I LOVED the cliffhangers (although for me, not such a big deal, since I read it all at once).

I'm off to start reading the sequel again now that I know what's going on...

By the way, Claire started off this story 24 years old. She finished it at age 23...thought you should know.

Yes! Everything is all right! Riley is alive, he and Claire are FINALLY together (plus a kiss, yay!) and they get to decide the finders fee... heheheh...

And riley, once again, needs to watch out for Ian. I have the strangest feeling that if Ian gets even the slightest hint that Riley's made Claire unhappy, Riley will need that altar again!

Wow. Lol, that's pretty much all I've got for the moment. Just wow. AWESOME story, awesome plot, great characters, Riley got beaten up and a girl... yehah! Love it!

Sorry. I tend to mentally spaz out when one of my favorite characters (with the most gorgeous eyes ever) gets shot... and apparently dies. Haha... (sigh)

Get 'em Claire!

Hey hey! I'm getting a VERY bad feeling about this. So we've got an injured Riley (which led to Claire admiring his eyes again {not getting into that right now! lol}), which is always fun... do we get to see more? Unfortunately, we've also got a trigger happy group of lunatics after tham...

I'm getting really bad vibes about all this!

Lol, guess what? I got distracted while reading this chapter: I got up and went to get a glass of water, passing by the TV... which was tuned to the History Channel... which in turn was showing an hour-long special of the Devil's Triangle. Weird eh?

Naturally I had to sit and watch, but now I'm back and raring for the next bit! It's amazing!

Whoa! Plot Twist! So... Robinson is dead? Hm, where does that leave everyone? And the odd storm that doesn't show up on radar... hm everyone's been having an odd day apparently.

I forgot to mention last time about how happy I am that Ian is in the story and he's not a cold heartless bastard out for revenge... it gives him so much more depth!

So the main reason I'm reviewing 8 instead of say... 10, is because of the rather intersting turn of events... I love Claire's clumsiness... lol, poor Riley.

Ohh speaking of Riley, Clair was... shall we say entranced? by his eyes... boy... am I glad I'm not the only one! (Lol, ok, I'm not... my friends and i spent nearly half an hour discussing Justin Bartha's -gorgeous- eyes after we saw the second movie... lol!)

I also like her goldfish addiction.. She keeps becoming more and more of a real character to me.. and yep, I think she and Riley are MADE for each other. No matter what the pair of them may think... the rest of us know better!

Review-a-holic eh?? Lol, no worries, I think everyone is.

So i checked out your profile, hoping for more NT stuff... and JACKPOT! Lol, like a little treasure hunt actually... except there's no clues, all you do is click... Well that's good, because i'm not very good at clues... (You on the other hand... I love the Blackbeard angle! Pirate treasure! Sweet!)

Rather than try and remember all sorts of stuff from the entire story, I make a habit of reviewing after every few chappies... so expect a flood of annoying reviews from yours truly!

All righty here. Firstly, I'm still super happy about the pirate treasure bit. Riley's right, I bet they DO get to keep more of it! Secondly, and perhaps even more importantly, I like what you've done with Claire. It's so easy to turn OC's into MAry-Sues, but Claire isn't Sue-ish at all. (Plus, I can't wait to see her and Riley's relationship develop... Lol!)

Too long a review? All right, I'll shut up for the moment. (Hey, do we ever see Riley without his shirt in the movies? I don't think so... pity, eh?)

that was totally awsome, i absolutely loved yer story! i was a little sad when you killed Riley, but come on, this was a Riley oc, no one kills the main pairing off like that!! everyone knows that, or else it wouldn't be a riley oc. this is so going into my favs list!

And so my review will join the immense pit of people worshipping you for your brilliance and writing skills and possibly craziness.

I usually don't enjoy relatives of characters or OCs, but this sotry has proven me wrong. This was incredibly realistic (besides the Altar of Sangre, or does it really exist...?) through emotions and such forth. I think I was laughing at Ian half the time because of all of this, it was just hilarious how his sister was falling in love with a guy he hates. Loved it too when Robinson just called up to mess with him, although that did turn out to be useful.

I am truly terrible, I enjoyed it when Riley died, simply because I am that kind of twisted person who enjoys it when her favorite characters get shot mulitple times in the chest. It was also nice how the bad guy played his role and didn't give the shining couple their final moments, like he cares if the person he's shooting gets their final wish (although what would that have been, I am curious).

What else can I bow down to? Oh yes, the anagram with Edward Teach. And hooray for Riley. Everything that has to do with Riley. From horrendously-rude-to-possible-killer's-relative Riley to stop-babying-me-I'll-be-fine-DAMNIT Riley and then to don't-hate-me-because-I-love-your-younger-sister Riley. That note that he wrote to Ben, for some reason, really meant a lot to me too.

I loved how the chapter titles tied directly into the story, instead of giving a general overview or something. I wish I could have read this story from when it first started, and had been reviewing for the entire way, but unfortunately things didn't work out like that.

One last thing- I'm enormously sorry for the long review, it's just my habit- I too am looking forward to the next National Treasure movie. What I'm not looking forward too, however, is how Riley has shaved. That's terrible, digitally alter everything so that he has his facial hair back, or I won't see it more than five times.

I just read this whole story in one day..and I loved it.
