I noticed that it has been a long time since you have updated, and realize that the longer one takes to update, the less likely they are to finish the story, so I will not hold my breath waiting for this to be complet. I just hope that you will finish this stroy because I think it would be a shame for it to go unfinished.

SpecialParanoia 2006-07-03 ch 13,	abuseFirst off, I feel I should apologize- I've been devoutly following this story since Chapter One, not to mention perusing your other works in this fandom a few times, but have yet to leave you any sort of review. Even now, I fear I'm making the effort mostly because it has been quite some time since your last update. My apologies. I know how much it means to hear from your readers, and I really should be better about this in the future. I used to be a rather well-known member amongst the Harry Potter fandom for that reason... Whoops? Your work is utterly amazing. The craft, the plot, the characterisation, the mechanics... Frankly, I'm in awe of you. Your stories are rather unique, and you always stay true to the characters. This, especially, is a personal favourite. The writing is tight, stylish, and gripping- not to mention your excellent grasp of the mechanics, (Which, sadly, seems to be a bit rare... And I'm admittedly quite the stickler for proper grammar and such). I really don't know what to say, without retreating into mindless fangirl gushing, as evidenced by all this long-winded, rambling dribble. So, to summarize... You're extremely talented, and I love your work. (There, I think that works). I'm curious, though, as to why it has been so long since we've seen a new chapter? I certainly hope you haven't abandoned this project- it would be a real shame. Of course, I know just how much RL can get in the way of your work... At any rate, here's to hoping for something new to read in the near future, (and that I haven't frightened or annoyed you. ^.~ It's late, and I always seem to have a hard time putting my thoughts into words properly). Kudos on the amazing work. You certainly deserve it.

I'm willing to wait and see where this is going...but I'm starting to wonder about the apparent vendetta against Don. Is it just a red herring (rather as the show did in Backscatter)? Or is it something more...?

I do remember this story quite some time ago and like someone else said I like it better with the new cast characters in it. I was planning on waiting until you were finished with it to read but I simply couldn't wait. I am confused by chapter 13. I don't get why this is about Don. It seems that if anything it's about Charlie. I mean I know that the notes say it's about Don but that doesn't seem to fit with what Charlie and this guy Rosemont were doing. You wrote: “Or it’s when this got personal,” suggested Megan. “Say they learned Charlie was involved from the scientist and recognized his name. They remembered some past contact with you, Don, that didn’t turn out for them, and when Charlie didn’t deliver either, they may have taken their past rage with you out on him.” That just seems wrong or implausible to me. Now please understand I am not dissing your story. I trust you as a writer and have never been disappointed by your other stories. I just can't figure out what you are trying to get at here, or maybe this is a red herring. What ever the explanation I look forward to seeing what you come up with. Alice I
