Dejavu113 2008-10-26 . chapter 1That was by far the best Bones fanfic I've seen so far. Wonderfully well-written and the case was so interesting--I just couldn't stop reading! All of the characters were written so well-every line of dialog you wrote was something that was in character. Oh...and that Giggles guy...gives me goosebumps. He was so creepy. *nervous glance over shoulder* I hate being home alone! =P I'm looking forward to your sequel. Can't wait! Keep writing, you've got talent! |
Kicks 2008-10-26 . chapter 11 Wow, that was an amazing story! By far the best Bones fanfic I've ever read. The story was engaging, gripping, and suspenseful, and you did a wonderful job of keeping everyone in character. I can't wait for the sequel! I wanna see this sadistic Giggles guy go down. I'm so totally gonna have nightmares about that guy until he gets his due punishment. XD |
Wrinkled Fabric 2008-10-24 . chapter 11My God, you are amazing. That was... guh. I think I love you.
The plot was intricate and beautifully conducted. Evil Clown!Villain was a better bad guy that most movie-bad guys. He was so clever and creepy and weird. He was awesome. Love the switch, and Brennan's flashbacks, and Angela. And so many unexpected twists! I did *not* expect that to be David. Damn, I honestly gasped, loud and horrified, in the middle of a very crowded room.
You are a wonderful writer. It's very, very difficult to find a well written, plot-driven, fluff-less Bones stories on this site, especially with the BrennanBooth relationship well executed. You ticked all my boxes and made up for the rubbish I have been trying to avoid!
The Booth-Brennan interaction and the dialogue was TV worthy, never once were they out of character. I loved it *so* much. Excellent ending too, thankfully not wrapped up in a 'and they lived happily ever after' kind of way. As it should be. :D
Hope the sequel is still on it's way out sometime!

Bone Dry 2008-09-15 . chapter 11Oh my goodness...I can't even say how impressive that was. That blew every other fic I've ever read right out of the water. That blew most of the books I've read out of the water. That blew almost damn near every last thing I've ever read out of the water.
Astounding job. Incredible. The weaving of the plot was intricate and esquistite. Kept me guessing up to the final breath. So many twists, and amazingly every turn that the case made made SENSE, and it can be very difficult at times to remember all the details.
The descriptives and the forensic information were...incredible. They were weaved in so beautifully I don't even have the words.
AMAZING, FANTASTIC, INCREDIBLE, ASTOUNDING job. This is the stuff that should be published and would sell thousands of copies.
Please post another Bones fic, for your grasp of the tones and characters is incredible. I would love to see more of this Giggles, for he creeped me out more than I ever could have imagined. The character interaction with Brennan was astounding, and terrified as I was that he was going to pull something, I could not help but appreciate the twisted intensity he brought.
You harnassed the art of suspense beautifully, but at the same time made me laugh at some of the classic Brennan and Booth interactions--and an Angela scene to boot.
You have brightened and/or darkened my day with such an astounding story, and I doubt I will forget it.
Once again, just to say once more, I am VERY impressed...
So, PLEASE post another one. And I will hope to see it every time I come on here now...

Myralee 2008-05-27 . chapter 11I came across this a couple of days ago and set it aside to read later. Last night I came back to it, and the instant I started reading I couldn't stop. I read from 7pm to 1am, all the while telling myself "Just one more chapter" until I found that there were no more chapters left to read.
It's been a long time since I've been able to just sit down and read a fanfic all the way through, at length and enveloped by the plot. I have to say, it's a wonderful feeling to be able to do that again.
I'm not even sure how to word this review, because I loved this fic so much, and its such a rarity here in the world of fanfics that I wouldn't even know where to start.
You are a magnificent writer; I'm sure you know that.
Your use of detail, dialogue and subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) wit is amazing.
The characters were true to the show, the plot was constructed and executed very well.
And the whole thing was just great.
It made me so happy to find a nice plotted, well-written piece, especially one that had such long chapters. I wish this site had more stuff like that!
I cannot wait for a sequel, if it's still in the cards.
Please keep writing stuff like this so I can keep gushing over it :)
~Myralee
Note: Normally I don't point out specific parts of a story in reviews, because for some reason it makes me feel silly, but I also want you to know that Chapter 10 was probably my favorite chapter in this because of the way you balanced suspense and humor when Booth and Brennan were after Giggles. It was frustrating as hell, wanting to know what was gonna happen and having you wave that suspense in the readers' faces, but the exchanges between the two of them actually made me laugh. And that's a compliment. You rule. |
Whitelight72 2008-05-25 . chapter 8And the penalty for lying to a forensic anthropologist is that no one ever finds and identifies your remains...
LOVED THAT! |
CarineM 2008-05-25 . chapter 11I love your story and the way you write, your creativity but I didn't like the end mayvbe because I wish it was longer, I don't know. Anyway good story!! |
Cathartes 2008-05-22 . chapter 11This was great, thanks for sharing! I wish the show always had this much sensitivity. |
Mona 2008-05-17 . chapter 11 What a captivating read! Thank you so much for this -- can I interest you in constructive criticism, too?

Lazy Cat 2008-04-04 . chapter 11 So, will we get to read the sequel?... Please? =D
Giggles is so creepy... I want them to get him! |
Lazy Cat 2008-04-03 . chapter 10 "Brennan, Queen of the Dead, and Booth, Lord of I-Know-Where-You-Live."
LOL
That was too damn funny!
I like this story. It feels like watching a Bones episode. And that's the kind of fan fiction I prefer. ;) |
ambee-monkey124 2008-03-29 . chapter 1Wow, where do I begin? I haven't been overly impressed by others fics- they don't capture the feeling of Bones. This fic does-spot on in fact. From the believable dialogue, the spot on characterisation of Booth and Brennan, complete rock solid plot, convincing detail and the writing. Such brilliant writing especially in the moments when Brennan is simply examining the bones. And, oh my, when Booth rescued Brennan . The lines- Booth could feel the intense heat of her torso on his ...a rivulet of rain water traveled down her nose, over her mouth and dripped onto Booth’s bottom lip.' That writing was sizzling and throughout the entire chapter the chemistry was screaming off the page. I never believed their chemistry could be captured by the written word- I'm proven wrong! I'm glad I still have 10 chapters of this to go! |
 SocksNTies 2008-03-10 . chapter 1I hope there will be a sequel. =) |
beaglelvr93 2008-02-29 . chapter 11I just read this fic, and I LOVED IT. Amazing ending. And so sad. I loved the lengthy chapters and how you had Bren kiss Booth to get his gun. Lol. Brilliant!

Chicklit 2008-02-14 . chapter 11Absolutely fantastic story -- You've nailed the format of the show, blending an intricate case file with a period of character evolution for Brennan (and Booth). Thanks! |
