Interesting chapter. Lots of angsty stuff. I'm actually glad that you got this all resolved within the chapter. I'm thinking it might have been unbearable if we would have had to deal with two chapters of all this tension with Jack and Desmond and Kate's illness due to the time travel. So now she and Danny boy are going back to where they started. Hm...will Daniel die at the hands of Smokey the Monster, I wonder?

I'm a huge fan of sci-fi so write away.
There was only one thing actually that confused me about this chapter. It was this sentence: "I don't know!" Ben cried. "I haven't been able to find the island in a very long time but I promise Jack, it is essential..." This sentence crops up when Jack is trying to get Ben to tell him who is in the cabin. Now does this mean that the cabin is on a different island? I'm just confused on this point.
Anyway, I thought all in all this was a good chapter. Yes, I thought you did okay with Daniel. I think Dan is a very strange character. When he talks it's like he's having trouble converting the thoughts in his brain into coherent sentences so that a person can understand him.
I actually think it's kind of funny that you sent Kate forward in time to meet Jack again at a later date. Boy, is she gonna have nightmares... Can't wait to see how this figures into things.

I'm wondering if this means that Kate, Jack, (and Desmond?) will get off the island for good now.

Wow that Richard guys really suprised me, I honestly wasnt expecting that. and omg the beginning Jacks freaky and strange hallucination. I also think that the man in the rocking chair is goint to be revealed as Christian. that is if you decide to continue that scenario. very awesome update Oct ;)

Good update. Wasn't expecting Richard to do what he did, but I wonder if Ben wasn't counting on that. He seems to always be one step ahead and know everything that's going on...

Wow, that was a really strange and frightening hallucination that Jack had in the beginning. I have a feeling that the man in the rocking chair is eventually going to be revealed as being Jack's dad. It makes sense to me that Jack would think of his dad upon entering the cabin.
So now I guess they have to decide what they really want to do, yes? Follow Richard, follow Naomi, or go off on their own. None of those are really great choices considering the situation.

I think you've caught up nicely with the goings on in S4. I'm interested in seeing if/how you'll differentiate between Naomi's group's motives here vs. the motives they have on the show.
I KNEW that Michael was going to be his man on the boat. I saw that comin' a mile away!

Well, naturally he's going to want to go back to find Kate anyway. Your twist brings up a plausible plot point. What if Ben and the hostiles DIDN'T kill off all the Dharma folks? Maybe that's who really is coming to the island this season; the ones who managed to escape.
