Bluebird88 9/29/07 . chapter 17What a fantastic idea! An original premise, and a very creative take on where the song might have come from. I really enjoyed reading this. |

Darynthe 6/3/06 . chapter 17Oh, what a beautiful collection of minifics. I just finished reading and the last one almost brought tears to my eyes. You made an incredible job of getting all the innocence and purity of childhood in every single one of them and it's absolutely gorgeous. This is exactly what we love of Maria. And I woulnd't mind seeing her friends in some other story? Especially Paul. Aw! Sweet! My favorite is the last one, I expected any time Maria to open her arms turn around and start singing! My second favorite is the daffodils. Thanks imnotacommittee, and please write a new one soon! :) |

I've read other people's reviews and seen that they like writing essays, but I write short reviews because you write short chapters and it all works out in the end. |
joy tkp ilandra et al 5/17/06 . chapter 12 Oh! I forgot to mention how much I love the Doorbells one! Maria was definitely a little bit of a trouble-maker, and I love how you showed that. |
Joy 5/17/06 . chapter 1 Oh! I loved this! LOVED IT! Thank you so much for sharing! My favorite one was Raindrops. Through several of them you showed the exuberance of her faith, how overwhelming and beautiful and *right* it felt to her, which I really love, because in some ways, Maria very much is a perfect candidate for the novitiate...and in other ways, she is the LEAST likely to-ahem. But what I loved about Raindrops is there's all that wonder and excitement both because of the beauty of her day and her calling, and then you join those two things with the simple line about the roses being on the path she's walking. Such wonderful use of metaphor. I loved the way these fit together but also didn't, how you made it seem like there's such a wealth and depth of real history here and we are only getting a peek. I love love loved Paul in the Blue Satin one, felt so hard for Maria in the Bright Copper one, and ached a little and laughed a little on the Kittens one. And I love how the winter into spring one does parallel being in the trees in the movie, and Maria's joy in the mountains and green. Such a wonderful idea, and you really pulled it off. I loved reading it and know I will read it again in the future. |
