Great story, gotta say that it's a little different from other Time stories where nothing gets changed, but it's nice that Harry gets closure and finds a purpose to continue to live.

And lets not forget...

Cool story! Well written and a good plot, and I loved the quotes. I have to ask, are "“And when it ends, we shall see who is right and who is dead,” Hah! Another Muggle book. I’m on a roll today." and the last line of the story quotes from the Princess Bride? (I was reading the 'good-bits' version of it the other week...) Anyway, I hope you've written other storys as good as this!

Cute ending. I can see where you just -had- to use that as the finishing line, even though you didn't show Voldy defeated. But then, the point of your story was how Fawkes rekindled Harry's 'fire' and Harry rediscovered himself, not how Harry fulfills the prophecy.

For any readers (like Heavenly Dancer) who didn't get the punchline, it's from the movie "Princess Bride" as the swordsman faced the six-fingered badguy (I forget his name):

"Hello. My name is Harry Potter. You killed my parents. Prepare to die."

changed from

"Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." (though this version was said in a rather sexy Spanish accent).
