Sad story, does Aoshi love Misao? Or is it really because she wouldn't be able to live without him and that he would go back to how he had been?

I do like it, and I understand Misao's point of view of why she thinks that Aoshi would leave her. In another way , now this could be from left field however, Misao could have a mental disorder that would make her like that..

Thats me reading more into this, a sad but good one shot.
