great story, a bit unusual at some points (aka-vomit on his mouth after kiss and thoughts of sitting on a toilet seat after he had used it...) BUT nevertheless quite a romanitc story. i was shocked that she was acually raped (i was hoping it wasnt true! but oh well...)

The plot of this chapter was horrible. I don't mean that as a flame, I mean that as honest criticism: you used rape and molestation as a plot device just so you could make Katara look weak (did she just FORGET she was a master bender?), Zuko look like a "hero" and arrange for them to kiss? Rape+rescue does NOT equal cheap romantic thrills. If you wanted to make them kiss, have Zuko walk up and kiss her, or vice versa. All you did was put Katara's character through a life-changing traumatic experience for the sole purpose of kissing someone. You even titled the chapter "First Kiss" instead of "A Bunch Of Men Brutally Attack A Woman", which was the actual plot of the chapter.

I really *really* wish people would stop using rape as a plot device for cheap romance. Nothing about it is romantic at all, or leads to anything romantc, or makes me want to see people kiss after reading it. It's just sad and horrible.
