Loved it! I've never seen anything from Liam's perspective before but you captured his attitude perfectly.

they are so the sort of characters who would swear- but the creative bits you mix in, esp. the hand gesture that caused the feud between the ducal houses in Tusaine (and my mind goes immediately to capulet/montague and biting of thumbs with a ha!)- but such a wonderful, real earthy liam- and a fascinating image of alanna mixed in- poor doomed liam, you deal w/ that wonderfully and really capture a sense of alanna as a figure who can inspire and who collects powerful allies like other ppl collect cats- great again. really enjoyed reading these, thnx. :D

nice and believable look into liam's mind- love the characterizing-glimpses of thayet and raoul and the seasick ladies' threat :D

Aw, you! I am all warm and glowy with happy feelings now. I have really nothing else to say. Excellent, chalk another up to your list of warrior-stoics.

You take the characters and make them a hundred times more real, with worries and flaws, tempers and weaknesses. Also very original curses.

Yay! The Shang fic that we've all been waiting for.

Love the Thayet, and the Liam taking down the best fighters. Thayet: fresh out of Sarain, still the little protocol-whore :) Liam... well he and Alanna annoy me in a sickeningly (pun!) cute way. But that's nothing new, nor is it your fault.

I can't wait for more. Let's see how the Shang actually works!

So you finally got your shang-story going, nyah?

And I am all excited to see where this is going. Your Liam voice is *nice* (and I'm enjoying seasick-Thayet as well).

The "hey, why not?" isn't by any chance referencing the Naruto, is it? hm. and grr. And go look up the wikipedia article on it - cause Naruto refernces a heck of a lot of Japanese mythology and pop-culture (or just ask me... shut up).

Anyways - go you. Yaye. Glad to see you aren't wasting your days away.

Sally.
