I like the use of first person here. Gives it a very autobiographical feel, a feeling of history, as if I'm reading the characters' memoirs.

The last scene left me with a dorky grin on my face. The brothers are back to their old antics, but it seems the antics in our world will be grittier and far more real.

And finally...could you provide a translation for the German? I'd love to know what Ed was saying :)

I've heard of Eliot, but I'm not familiar with most of his work. That first poem was very poignant to this ex-Catholic girl; but I guess I'm waiting for the adventure to begin. Will this be as long as Fire and Light? Hope you aren't biting off more than you can chew.
