Charlotte 2008-08-30 . chapter 9 Lovely! Just like the other... |
Mommy2 2008-03-11 . chapter 9Wow! I discivered you through Bellgeste and I'm glad I did. Mature writers (no insult, I'm a 63 yo Bubbie)are, by far, the best. There is life-wisdom and an excellent command of the language that is impossible to find in a 14 yo.
Thank you for your great stories and please keep it up. |
Bemoan 2008-02-01 . chapter 8“How do you think most Dark Lords start? By being the biggest bully in the playground, far too often…” Yes James who would not say mudblood or use dark magic but who would call someone else a bad name and with full intention humiliate someone in public. I just think he is the most hypercritical self righteousness…okay just my thinking…this character just…anyway.
“spoilt brat of a father” This was just enforced in DH. I thought we were going to be shown how he changed.
I also like how you have Harry told Severus how he knows about the prophecy. Even though don’t think that he was totally too blamed. Trelawny know as a charlatan, Dumbledore and his brother letting Snape escape without olivating him, James not making himself or Dumbledore secret keeper, Sirius great idea of making Peter and it just goes on and on. |
Bemoan 2008-02-01 . chapter 7“Muggle-Repelling charms and Muggle Secrecy Acts and anti-Muggle gateways to keep me out” And why does the wizadring world have to be so secretive.
From another chapter. “A private militia,” Adam repeated stubbornly. “Set above the law. I never approved of that and I never will.” I never thought of it that way, but it is true. I did think of the DE that way. I’m really enjoying your story, because you are showing us a different view. |
Bemoan 2008-02-01 . chapter 6“They were lucky. And in the process they did their best to topple the Ministry.” You got that right. |
Bemoan 2008-02-01 . chapter 3“Ron’s only ambitions had been on a broom.” I thought that was funny and I also read somewhere else that ambition in this family seemed to be wrong. |
Bemoan 2008-02-01 . chapter 2I do like how you have developed Ginny character. |
Bemoan 2008-01-29 . chapter 1This is the second story where I hear Percy’s point of view and I agree. Especially with “I wasn’t wrong, Hermione. For five years, I watched Ron and Ginny get hurt or almost killed chasing after Harry while Dumbledore sat on his hands or, worse, rewarded him! Penny got Petrified a basilisk in my sixth year and he still didn’t ..”
I think if the characters were cartoonish then it would be okay to just think Percy is a jerk, but for me the charters stopped being cartoonish in PoA. I also think of all those last minute points Dumbledore gave away in the first book, especially since the children shouldn’t have been doing what they were doing. Well might as well break some rule you just might be a hero. |
nocomono 2007-09-05 . chapter 9Well I liked this story -- even with the kids. LOL. Always interested in people's characterizations. Thanks, again. |
nocomono 2007-09-05 . chapter 8Even though I come from a very large family, I dont particularly like children, so now I'm in child overload -- I'm glad it's the end. My head hurts! LOL |
nocomono 2007-09-05 . chapter 7It's always fascinating how Molly gets written in fics. There seem to be 2 types in the main, and it's always curious as to how people go. |
nocomono 2007-09-05 . chapter 3gosh, some people never grow up! LOL. I like the intro of Percy and his 10 (!!) children. |
 cckeimig 2007-07-10 . chapter 9Nice wedding. Very realistic. |
cckeimig 2007-07-10 . chapter 8Wahoo, Harry! Way to grow up and out of foolishness! |
cckeimig 2007-07-10 . chapter 5Dang, those Weasleys get on my nerves in canon as is, but here they're just unbearable. |
