This story is really good. I can actually believe this what and how Sesshoumaru would be thinking if he were to be in this situation.

I've read this, oh, a good five times before finally typing these words up. It is just that perfect. Perfect characterization, matched up with an great hook and storyline, makes this probably one of my favorites. This is exactly how I figure Sesshomaru's love, albeit an unconventional one, for Rin, and their relationship to follow. It would be bittersweet, yet perfect for him all at the same time. You did such a great job, I really have no other words to say.

Bittersweet and well written. Interesting take on his deciding to follow her in death and his understanding of his father's decisions.

Powerful, insightful narrative. I really like the tone of this; the parallels drawn and how Sesshomaru keeps convincing himself he hasn't strayed from destiny until it's simply too late to turn back. Perfectly executed.

I'm speechless. It's a really good story, and Sesshoumaru IS Sesshoumaru in it.
Kind of sad and ironic but he accept that without any regret. So beautiful.

First off, I must say: I take my metaphorical hat off to you.

This is seriously one of the best Sesshomaru characterisations I've seen.

I really like the way he makes his decisions--the rationale behind it, especially this line:He has paused along his path for a passing sweetness, but his feet have not left it. Destiny is deferred, not denied.

Also, I really like how he moves from regret for his own father to acceptance, when he becomes a father, himself.

Thanks for sharing this with us, I've enjoyed this very, very much. =)

i think this is THE best Sesshoumaru fic i have ever read. u have portrayed him prefectly, in my opinion,and put so much emotion into words. i think i almost cried when i read this fic. i keep reading it over and over again, and it touches my heart every time. it's a great piece of writing.

I have enjoyed this story immensely! From the sheer strength and power and tension I could feel pulsing from between the lines, to its unpredictability when taking into account the story's tone, to its lovely circularity - this was a great piece of writing!

I really like the way that sesshomaru is portrayed,its so realistic. If Sessh was to ever fall for Rin this is probably how it would happen. I LOVED this story, I'm off to read more of the writings..By the way inthe begginning "his Father" in italics. It doesn't make sense to italicize it as if you woul do so it would be "My Father". But otherwise kudos on the whole story!

Oh. *loves on* So succinct and realistic, but simultaneously poetic and beautiful...an interesting and difficult combination that you pulled off admirably. Great job. :)

LOL I thought I'd reviewed this one a while back. Sorry. ^_^;
Anyways I loved it the first time I read it, and I love it even more each time.

You portray a relationship between Sesshoumaru and Rin that is realistic, beautiful and tragic, while managing to keep both of them in character. I especially enjoyed seeing Sesshoumaru's character develop through the obstacles/opportunities life presented him.

A beautifully written story, and a very enjoyable read. Well done!
