Very interesting. I always enjoy Dax centered fanfics and have to admitt that Jadzia is my favorite character in the show. I always like fanfics where there is a creative use of mixing the original character's experiences and tying them in with a already established character. And I like the relationship here, though I do feel a bit sorry for Ke'sh. Good work.

Wonderful. That's the only way I can describe this first chapter. Most DS9 fanfics that you see are either horribly written, unbelievable on so many levels, or the characters have been changed so much from their original stance that they are no longer the officers you have come to love over the seasons. But your piece is none of those things. I find it extremely well written. The story characters are believable and you original ones fit into the time, place, and setting. And most important of all I find myself on the edge of my seat as though I were watching a new never before seen episode for the first time, riveted to the screen because I want to know what problem the characters are about to conquer next. Brillantly done!
As previously stated, most fanfics on this site (that I have read) do not come close to the calibur and sheer potential of this piece. And I can't wait to read what happens in other chapters. By the by, as for your original characters, I enjoy this first one, but would refrain from stealing it in hopes that by allowing you to keep it, you will add many more interesting chapters to this story! Keep up the good work!

I just gave you the info about the seasons to help you better cement when this story takes place. And I agree that even though Julian stopped pursing Jadzia, he never stopped wanting her. I also agree with you that Jadzia had grown and changed a lot by the end of Season 4.

Intriguing story so far. The story looks like it is actually set right before the last episode of Season 3.

FYI - During the first episode of Season 3, Benjamin brought the Defiant to DS9. During the last episode of Season 3, Benjamin was promoted to captain. Seaon 4 started off with Worf arriving on the station. By the end of Season 4, Jadzia clearly had a thing for Worf and only a few episodes later in Season 5 she made sure Worf knew it. Julian also stopped pursuing Jadzia by Season 4 and this was later confirmed in an episode at the beginning of Season 4.
