evalanis-again 2008-06-03 . chapter 16 Quick question: how did you know that the snitch would be so important in Harry Potter's life?
Also: I heart Sirius. And you. But I heart Remus more. :D |
 darkheartpoet 2006-10-11 . chapter 16lovely work yet again dear =] |
Folk 2006-07-08 . chapter 16I love the last bit. I must admit, I was expecting you to continue with the cape bit...
...something about him falling through the Veil and suddenly realizing that he could fly.
Wonderful job! I loved it :)

Folk 2006-07-08 . chapter 14"He could feel his legs aching, but he ignored them just as he ignored all the people in the other cells. Each of them looked out of the cells and saw a huge beast go past, but not one of them saw a big black dog; they all saw the Grim." Wow...I never thought about that before. Great image.
And the last part...chilling. Very nicely done.

Folk 2006-07-08 . chapter 13"He kicked off the ground and flew up into the air, glancing back once at the house to see his mother stomping and screaming on the front doorstep. And up in his brother’s bedroom window he saw one tiny solitary figure, shoulders slumped and face obscured by the sunlight glaring on the glass.
Goodbye, he thought. And he was gone."
Beautiful. |
Folk 2006-07-08 . chapter 11"Sirius ignored that question before he had to answer it, and he went into the bathroom. Sirius had his world, and Snivellus had his, and they must, at all times, remain separate."
And I think *that* sums up this entire chapter. Beautifully written.
The detail--"and each time it appeared Sirius counted its toes"--is wonderful.

Folk 2006-07-08 . chapter 10"Sirius made some kind of noise". HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
I love the part about counting the dreams in his eyes...this whole story is very poetic. Well-done.
The first chapter is still my favorite...I knew where it was going the second I started reading. Or so I believe.

Folk 2006-07-08 . chapter 6"Our James." How very sweet. I wrote an entire fic about James and Lily's wedding, and never did I even think about the fact that Sirius might think he was losing his friend...
"Sirius grinned and stood up. It was amazing how undrunk he could seem when he was truly smashed. With all the coordination in the world, he lifted Lily up and carried her to the dance floor. The two of them danced happily for at least three songs, unaware that James, watching from the side, was grinning like crazy." Aside from the genius of the "truly smashed" bit...this is just wonderful. You are a gifted writer, methinks.

Folk 2006-07-08 . chapter 4This is absolutely and astonishingly beautiful.
I do have to say (don't you love my snarkly little comments) that I'm not a Remus/Sirius person...but that's just because I'm definitely sure that they're both straight as can be. haha. It's okay, though...I do like some slashfics...idk.
It's irrelevant because in this story I would like just about anything you wrote.

Folk 2006-07-08 . chapter 3I really like this concept of little vignettes from their lives...quite IC too. I don't say that very often.

Folk 2006-07-08 . chapter 2This is really nice. I think it could do with a few lines or something (even dashes, "-") to separate the time changes...but maybe not. Your call.
Great job!

Enelya Cuthlion 2006-06-05 . chapter 10'Sirius could just about count the dreams in his eyes'. I love it. So beautiful, and all the cuteness of Remus. And Sirius for that matter. With Harry, his papa, his Remus. Everything. I loved it. I wasn't sure at first, but I do. I love it.
Cheers,

Enelya Cuthlion 2006-06-05 . chapter 9Love the loss of words! I bet those are the only times that Sirius has ever been unable to come up with anything to say. And may I just say 'aw' to the brotherly bonding! I love your Sirius-Regulus relationshp. Many people try to make them hate each other in childhood, but I agree that they would have comrades. Well, I'm getting through them. Maybe I will have them all in by the end of the weekend :).

Enelya Cuthlion 2006-06-05 . chapter 8Nice. Well it was only a matter of time before you came to the confrontation between Sirius and Peter. Poor Sirius though, in all his doubting ways. And evil, Evil, EVIL! Peter! Never a Gryffindor! Not worthy, I say! Get him out! Throw him back where he came from! Sorry, I'm done now... Oh, but I did like your 'thwarted bug' conversation. V. Humorous.
Cheers,

Enelya Cuthlion 2006-06-05 . chapter 7Aw, cuteness! Poor Sirius, adorable Remus! They're just so precious! Congrats dude, on and you did it again, drawing parallels in life. Don't worry, it's a good thing. Just something you seem to be able to pull out and imagine in different stages of their lives. Ok, onwards, ever onwards.
Cheers,
