Inuyasha, honestly, could never truly pull off a perfect engagement in reality. It wouldn't make the engagement proposal from his heart. You did a phenomenal job of keeping Inu and co. in character while making this a/u one shot of The King's Mistress. Props! I was wondering if you could consider writing a one-shot about Inuyasha and Kagome's reactions to their son getting mistreated for the first time by the village children. (I think I phrased that right)

Almandine-Azaleea 2006-06-07 ch 3,	abuseThat was so honestly adorable! I love the whole archaic-feel of the entire story. It's extremely well done, and the language...sighs dreamily...it's beautiful, elegant, archaic-style and oh-so-perfect! This was defintely the best chapter! I absolutely loved it! The interaction between the characters stayed true to that of the anime/manga, so I defintely commend you on that. The ending was just ever so terribly sweet, and made me unbelievably happy. ^_^ Inuyasha's first reactions were great, and I love how he manages to get himself into such trouble just by opening his mouth without thinking >_< Of course, in real life, marrying your mistress who 'happened' to also bear your child is not quite so easy-an-affair even if you are king...but I'm really glad you chose to do this story in this particular manner! The ending was ever so adorable! What more can I add? It was quite simply wonderful in its entirety!
Almandine-Azaleea 2006-06-07 ch 2,	abuseThis was so incredibly, amazingly written! The language is exquisite. It's flowing and simple yet with a touch of grace and polish. The insight into Sesshomaru's thoughts, as well as into those of Inuyasha, is very well documented and stays true to both the characters. Rins' description is perfect- flowery but not gaudy, and her actions and words highlight the true complexity of her character. The part where she comforts Sesshomaru is so beautifully written! Its simplicity emphasizes the true meaning of each of her actions, and exudes a sense of calm and comfort, completely contrasting the previous scene. It was so beautiful. ^_^

The language was beautiful, and I absolutely loved the part where he said:"most of us are desperate to let go of our hate, and Kagome sometimes seemed just as desperate to feel it.” It's really a very accurate desciption of Kagome. Really loved it, especially where Kouga struggles to tell Ayame about Kagome- it's very like him I think. The ending was kind of bittersweet, but also gave a certain sense of relief. It was really well done! Loved this chapter.
