I understand Elphir more now. I think the blame lies with Lothiriel and most likely, Amrothos, as well. I have really bad feelings about the tournament: (1) Amrothos will treat Guthwyn as a whore when he asks for his "payment." (2) Guthwyn will end up fighting Elphir in the final round. Arrrghhh. Onto the next chapter!

Yes, the story is moving agonizingly slow but it's necessary. I agree that Guthwyn won't wake up one morning and suddenly be back to normal, without being reminded constantly of her past. Lothiriel and Amrotho's scheming, as well as Eomer's obliviousness, isn't helping Guthwyn at all. I feel so bad for her. She went through so much and now, she can't even be comfortable in her own home or family.

Oh dear. I hope he isn't going to ask for payment by treating Guthwyn like a whore. I really hate him, someone needs to put him (and bitchy Lothiriel) in his place.

Amrothos is just like his sister. Manipulative and bitchy. It's horrible what the visitors think about Guthwyn, and what on earth happened to Lothiriel 9 years ago? How did Lady Miriel play a role in that? :o

I'm so proud of Guthwyn right now. She's everything a great leader should be. Lothiriel is just petty and ridiculously selfish. She's a complete bitch too. I wish Eomer was there to see that slap, then he wouldn't be as oblivious.
