Oh, that was beautiful. When I read HDM as a child I bawled like a baby at the end, and I've never found any fanfics for it that truly did the characters justice until now. There were little bits that seemed a little American, but they were barely noticeable. I loved the idea of Will as a doctor - it just seems to fit - and your characterisation was spot on. I haven't read any of your other fics yet bar one HP one, but I'm now hoping that you've written more HDM ones from Lyra's POV, because I'd love to see how you write her. Really, really great.

After finishing the series for the second time, I'm so happy I decided to go look for fanfics. Yours is so perfect on so many levels, subtle yet excellent. And in character... very much so. Wonderful fic.

argh. hattyihateyou. this fic made me cry. it's so... well. touching would be too much of an understatement and way too cliché for me to say, so i won't say that it was touching. it was definitely emotive (ha! i used a different word that doesn't as cliché, even though it still is. xD), seeing as you made me cry and all with this fic, and it's got the loveliest end. like. loviestintheworld. i love your writing so much, whether it's role playing or fanfiction. =) i hope you write another HDM fic sometime~

This is one of the very, very few stories I've felt I had to review. I really, really want you to do more HDM fanfiction. So, onto the review!

The thing is, when I started this story, I wasn't expecting very much. You'd said you wrote it in about twenty minutes, and I had also just finished a very bad HDM fanfiction. So, I'm glad to say that this story exceeded my expectations by far. I noticed that you had a few grammatical errors, but they didn't really take too much away from the story. Easily the best part of the story was the ending. I almost felt like crying, it was so emotionally charged. I think that you kept pretty close to the way the characters were portrayed in the book. Basically, all I have to say is, good job, and write more!

Oh my gosh...that was awesome. It was sad yet happy and totally in sync with the nature of the characters. It's going in my faves *^_^*

It had a (sort of) happy ending yet at the same time, although you know that Lyra knows he's there - that they're together again, you know they will never be properly together again. *sighs* I love fanfic like this.
