This was such a fabulous tale written in the viewpoints of two individuals who aren't written about very often. We don't know much about Izayoi, which makes your personification of her plausable. I love that she and Jaken had such a strange friendship, trading barbs and their sharp tongues spearing the other with such a force that neither seemed to care about nor tolerate at the very same time. Fabulously written, with very few grammar mistakes! Wonderful work!

Great story, I love how u stayed in character and the relationship between Inupapa and Izayoi. Izayoi was especially well done. I really enjoyed reading this, keep up the good work!!

A very well written one - shot. I think you stayed true to the characters. I have always felt the poor imp got much to hard a rap in many fanfics, and I think you did him justice.

Good luck with your future projects.

This was wonderfully original, an interesting and uncommon "pairing" of Izayoi and Jaken. Your character depictions of both Izayoi and Inupapa were novel and well-handled (Izayoi is not all-too-common sweetly demure and retiring princess, Inupapa a tad more uncouth than one usually finds). I liked the frank and refreshing outlook on their relationship (Izayoi's growing fondness and acceptance towards Inutaisho in particular), and the patience development of the friendship between Izayoi and Jaken. Nicely done!

Once again, you've made Jaken into a real, clammy-flesh and cold-blood character. Izayoi is also well-drawn, and the slow growth of their reliance/alliance is fascinating stuff.

This was wonderful!

I loved the characterization of Izayoi as a strong, complex woman, struggling to understand her place within the youkai realm and her relationship to the demon lord...so much more believeable than the shy, blushing hime fluttering about.

Really liked Jaken (the flashes of his infatuation with Sess) and the growth of his regard for Izayoi as they spar with each other, finding some middle ground, and ending up respecting each another as friends.

The small cameos of Sess remind us of the future conflict between him and the as-yet-unborn half-brother.

Enjoyed this, and will enjoy reading it again!
