I like your use of two different points of view to get the meaning across. It wouldn't have been so effective with only one - it would have seemed too unrequited. With them both, it sounds like real love. Danny's hoping it was a date is so sweet, as well as his view of Subway Girl (as I like to call her). Very smooth style, like a real romance story.
