One of the most detailed and consistant fanfics I've ever read, I know I'll be re-reading this! You should be proud of your work, your well thought out characters, and your engrossing plot.x

The "wallmaker's relict" was a nice touch, and I'm glad you've decided to go into writing.

If it helps I do exactly the same thing when writing, work out details no one will ever need to know! I would've done the same.xx

Hiya, personally I think "Astarael's get" refers to the fact that the fact that the Abhorsen is the heir so to speak of the bright shiners, Astarael did not give herself totally, but it is implied she watches over the Abhorsens more than any of the other great charters.
Oh and you nailed Moggets attitude and voice. Nice.x

Dunno how you managed to make the forging of a sword so captivating, but well done. And Saraneth would've been my choice for the Abhorsen bloodline too, they bind, its kinda what they're for!

Good work, well told, but leaves enough unexplained to hold interest. Love the setting.

Commenting on Chapter 10.
I thought that one of the seven put their powers into the charter stones, and one put their powers into the wall. Because the wall is also a great source of magic for charter mages, right?
Also, I just have a question about the books. I know that there are charter stones scattered throughout the land, so do they move these stones? or do the stones stay and they just make more to scatter throughout the land? And also, I know that a whole lot of charter stones were broken. And I forget if there is a way to fix them so that all seven keep their influence throughout the land...? any answers?

I don't review as often as I should, but I feel the need to THANK YOU for writing this story. It was marvelously done. I found myself smiling and even laughing at some points, and was definitely tickled when I found ties to future events in the trilogy. Sometimes, I would even try to guess at what ties you were making before they became clear. You even made the connection between the Wallmakers and Prince Sameth! It was subtle, but I liked it! (To make sure I'm getting it right, he inherited it from Cassiel's wife?)

Again, you did a marvelous job creating a back story for the Old Kingdom Trilogy. Everything works out so beautifully (and I LOVED how you played Kibeth!). I feel the urge to go back and read the books now. Lucky thing I have them here at college!

Thanks again, and good job!
