A great story. Very good.

So far I like it.

My only nit-pic is that, I don,t think Angel would like to be called a "master" vampire, only because he doesn't like being a vampire in general, and I don't think he was called a master in canon. I think "The Master" was the only vampire in canon refered to as a Master. Angel was always referenced as one of the most powerful vampires. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, it is just an observation.

I liked the fight scenes, and the clever banter from Angel.

It would help if you brought in one or two other familiar characters, not Buffy, because he is suposed to be staying away from her, almost anyone else would work. I am glad this isn't a romance.
