...while my inner romantic had to squee in delight at the happy ending, I am a bit confused...So does Ten love Rose as well??!! You wrote that "possible" scene a few chapters ago with Nine and Ten talking about how Ten doesn't love Rose, and him scolding Nine for doing such a silly thing as falling in love...And then this chapter...and the awesomeness of him saying that he IS still in love with her...but then there was a random past tense of, "Oh, if only she knew just how much he had used to love her"...
...aw hell, I'll just say YES and be done with confusing myself. :D

Oh that was beautiful! And up until the epilogue, I firmly believe it could've been considered for an actual episode...Might've been a bit of a long episode though. :) The epilogue however would've made far too many 10/Rose fans happy, and thus couldn't even be conceived of for t.v. Wonderful tale though...Took me at least 3 hours to get through it all, but it was worth it!

Hmm. Interesting way to end it, having it be an old game at the Gamestation. Would that work, though? Would the people watching on TV be able to see the illusions and fears? Or is that why it got discontinued, maybe? Anyway, it's not what I was expecting, though by the end I didn't know what would end up happening.

I think it could have used another chapter to wrap it all up, maybe, or another page or two, at least. Just seemed like it ended too fast. You've got all this tragic build up, she's going to lose him, she does lose him, but then all of a sudden it's okay because he's the same person and still loves her. True, but it'd take a while for her to understand that, I think. She'd need time to grieve, or at least get to know the new him better. And he went too quickly from being in denial to being willing to go for it. Especially after the whole coversation-they-didn't-have where Ten says he doesn't feel the same as Nine did, I was expecting a longer period of denial or frustration before he gave in and... uh, gave in.

And you know, if Nine wasn't ever real, it really wasn't fair to have sections from his point of view. Misleading, that is! :P

Still, not too bad for a bedtime story. (That is, a story I read just before bed, not that it IS a bedtime story...) Could've been a lot worse -- they could've both died, or Ten could've rejected her completely just like that last story I reviewed. Glad it had a bit of a happy ending, after all.

Ah, now this should be good. I read a story a while back that used this sort of idea, where the ninth Doctor showed up claiming that the tenth Doctor was an imposter and Rose didn't know who to believe was real. Can't wait to see where you go with it! It'd just better have a happy ending, or at least neutral, because it's the last of your Dr Who stories and I'll HAVE to go to bed after this one, happy ending or no.

Certainly an usual turn of events. I have been looking for any story with an actual plot and this is looking good so far!

I should be upset because your story made me cry buckets of tears but it is one of the most beautiful things I have ever read.
