This is a very original idea. I can't really find any specific faults with the writing either- though I do think it could use some refinement. Perhaps you should find someone to beta for you? Kaelbrith's name seems a bit long, too, but on the whole, this seems to be a very nice story. Please update!

And I have to say I'm loving the interaction between all the riders dependant on the colour of their dragon - because we all know that's how it'd really be. Shame this hasn't been updated in a while, but I'm hoping it just hasn't been abandoned - I really would like to see where you go with it.
