OMG! SO SAD! I cannot beleive that Kate is dead, that was so tragic on the election night! Great update, this twist is what makes the writting so good!

I enjoyed this line:

"She was an incredibly smart 50-year-old U.S. Senator from New York. Her running mate was a very charismatic black man who had run against her in the primaries but lost."

Becuase I notice you were doing a parody with Clinton/Obama. I am a big fan of Clinton so I was kind of happy when you said she won the primary. But obviously because Mac was in the general election, "Juila"" could not win, but my guess is that in the real 2008 election which does not invovle Mac, "Clinton" will win the election( I hope)!

Dickie was practically drooling over Christine’s picture." - It's so easy to parody Dickie.

"Dickie became red. He looked at Rod, who was staring at him with a frightening look." - Ha! Have I told you I love this chapter so far?

"Templeton’s going to use Christine’s youth and good health to make me look like a grandmother who needs an air tank just to give a speech." - Ha!

"Mac- do I also have to go to the pressroom and do some push-ups?" - Now this I'd like to see!

"You’ve slept with so many women that they could have their own state" - Ha! I love these lines you're shooting at us.

Dun, dun, dun, Mac finally finds out the truth about Horace.

"Mac- this isn’t dating. It’s called hit and run." - Good one, Mac.

I really didn't expect the sex scandal to be with Horace. I expected it to be with Jim and Jayne.

"You think I turned down a cabinet position because my ex boyfriend works for the president? Boy, you got some ego!" - Good one, Christine! This whole exchange with Dickie and Christine reminds me of Kevin and Julia in Speechless, when she wants to get out of that TV studio and he keeps trying to tell her why they'd be good together.

I can't believe Mac took Dickie back at all.

"Tony- a bomb exploded in a high school, in California. It was a terrorist attack." Are you serious? At this stage in the game?

I can't wait to see what the terrible event in the next chapter is!

Great chapter. The "sexy" conversation between Mac and Dickie was priceless. I enjoyed the part between Mac and Horace where finally she quit treating him like a "Mamma's Boy." Of course, you can never have too many cute scenes with Rod and Mac. Can't wait to see how the election progresses.

Enjoyed the last few chapters and reading about Mac and Rod's pasts. Finally Mac gets it and takes responsibility. Thanks for the reminder of how exquisite the dialogue was in that West Wing episode.
