angstbunny 2009-10-22 . chapter 1What a wonderful and unusual story. I'm glad that Severus the Small ended up in the Hall of Heroes. Thank you for posting it. |
Soladwi 2009-08-22 . chapter 1This was such a great story. A very unique and creative twist on mythology, and just an awesome way to end snape's story. Thanks. |
 Sekihara Tae 2009-06-01 . chapter 1Hello!
This was recommended on the fangirl tour on LJ, and I definitely can see why. This was fun and original and so well written. I love that Snape has a ballad (featuring a tiny, tiny stick), and the depiction of the Death Eater Hell, and how they all think it's perfectly wonderful. That seems... incredibly fitting.
Glad I came by for a read. Thanks much! |
MarbleGlove 2009-01-06 . chapter 1Awesome! I love the Hall of Heroes and I desperately want to hear all 17+ verses of Severus the Small and his Tiny, Tiny Stick. Also I love the idea that his life has been sufficiently peculiar that he has invitations to three different afterlives. Fabulous. Thanks for sharing. mg |
 mivums 2008-07-19 . chapter 1I really enjoyed this fic :) |
zafaran 2007-04-05 . chapter 1This is sort of sweet, and I like what you show us of Severus. Well done. I hope your muse and schedule will allow you to write and post more stories sometime soon. Keep up the good work. Zafaran zafaran{at}fastmail{dot}fm |
t-me 2007-01-22 . chapter 1Brilliant. You know I think in Viking terms Snape would be considered one of Loki’s, him being the god of trickery and deceit an all. So really he fits right in. |
 unlikely2 2006-11-29 . chapter 1Brilliant. |
gestaltrose 2006-07-07 . chapter 1What a great story. Poor Severus. I am so glad you gave him a place where he would be appreciated.

Jobey in Error 2006-07-05 . chapter 1*sighs in deep satisfaction*
You were off to a grand start on this in particular, but as usual your stories never stay mere laughs. This (as of course you do) was hugely original. The funny thing is, though, for all its originality it's not the kind of thing you could make orific out of. We had to have known Snape through six books before this fic would have any impact on us. It's definitely fanfic, but of the highest kind.
Is it Professor Sprout? It's official book-canon now that her first name's Pomona.
My real criticism is mild points on Snape's characterisation. It was both hilarious and heart-warming... but I didn't think it ringed altogether true. Could be the intent, of course. We're seeing him in new surroundings. No Bellatrix and no Granger! (That was a smashing beginning, by the way. Oh, I've mentioned. Well, it was worth saying twice.)
-“Well, I did kill the kindly old man they all worshipped as a saint and loved as a father, to be scrupulously fair…” said Snape, rubbing the back of his neck and feeling surprisingly awkward.-
*skeptically* Eh. If you say he said.
But disagreements aside - they didn't detract from the great enjoyment I got out of this. |
Bene Gesserit Witch 2006-07-03 . chapter 1This has to be one of the most original stories I have read.
You kept Severus in character in a totally original setting.
I really enjoyed the story. I will vote for you in the mutifaceteds (which is how I found your story... reading the nominations). |
duj 2006-06-19 . chapter 1What a fitting end for Snape. His valour fits perfectly with the Viking philosophy, to fight and fight on, even without hope or expectation of winning. They face the Ice Giants or Gotterdammerung with no loss of heart, no sense of despair at inevitable doom. No Gryffindor could show this courage, no Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw; it is an entirely Slytherin resolve - the best kind of Slytherin, resourceful, determined, willing to "use any means (even their own death) to achieve their ends". Hagrid would have preferred Dumbledore's heaven; let him go there at the last. The Hall of Heroes is Snape's home. |
wynnleaf 2006-06-04 . chapter 1Oh, I do love this! There's so much that is poignant and funny at the same time, particularly the mistake over Hagrid and Snape's self-recrimination at his gullibility. But all ends well, as it should, for our hero. I do hate to think of the few (Albus?) who truly care about him never knowing what happened. |
Blackpenny 2006-05-16 . chapter 1This story is so unbelievably cute, well-written and in character. Amazing how you managed all three. |
 cecelle 2006-05-10 . chapter 1Loved it!
He deserves the Hall of Heroes, he does! The other two places are just more of the same - with a choice of Dumbledore doing the 'sweet old man' routine and everyone else talking nastily behind his back, or going back to an eternal life of (boring) servitude to Voldemort. No thanks.
"“Canapé, O great one?”" - Snicker! That was great!
This was just so original, and funny and poignant at the same time - perfect! Thanks for writing! |
