This story is amazing. I love that you put thought into all the logistics of how hard it would be for shinra to rebuild itself and all the problems the world faces. ^_^ Please keep writing!

I must say, I'm very impressed with this story, right from the beginning, even if it was a little random. You've done nothing but improve over the next four chapters. It's not often you see such a politically involved, realistic storyline for a fandom, much less this one. I enjoy your characterization of Rufus; far too many simply make him completely heartless. And, of course, Rude and Reno are classic. ^^

Poor Rufus, everything he does falls into shamble. What's especially scary about this fic is that it is quite possible for us to be in that situation with no heat and running water. I can just picture how hellish that would be.

Anyways, this is a very addictive fic and good job on this chapter.

I really don't know what to say, except congrats on creating such an absorbing, well-written fic. The storyline had me hooked almost instantly, and your characterisation made my inner Shinra fangirl smile. Especially Rufus'. I just love the way you're portraying him in this, and I'm just as exasperated as he is that he's trying to do the right thing but everything's going wrong.

Oh yeah, and I'm loving Reno and Rude in this, too. Much love.

Wow, I heart your Rufus to death. You actually managed to transform him into a realistic character who's actually *trying* to do the right thing. I hope to see more of Reno and Rude soon since they are such love those two. XD This is a very awesome fic and I hope to read more chapters.

I am simply angry that this story doesn't have more reviews.
I'm probably repeating myself, but everything about this is amazing. All these governmental goings-on only add to it - I always get all fuzzy inside when Rufus starts talking politics... he's such an adorable little beaurocrat :) His grilling of WRO as an autocracy was brilliant, as was the line "Bankrupt Turks make for whiny Turks".
FFnet is quite adept at massacring dialogue, but that problem seems to be no more. Congrats at fixing it, and I shall wait patiently for the next chapter.

Other than the Reno and Rude 'incident' on the beach (XD), my favorite part of this chapter was Rufus's "ghost from the past" reaction to Cloud's quasi-attack. The whole scene was vivid, and Tseng's intervention was right in place afterwards.
The only gripe I have is that very often, lines of dialogue aren't separated, making it a little hard to determine who's saying what. I'm only bringing it up because you haven't been doing it in the past two chapters - maybe it's stylistic, but I'm just throwing it out there in case it isn't.
Otherwise, it's great as usual ^^

Wow, this is JUST the fic I was looking for. Rufus, captured perfect in every way, including his grandiosity as well as fragility, in a setting that helps him shine - I like all your other Rufus fics, but this is the best! And Cloud - I love how he interacts with Rufus, and how he's so wary of him - cause Cloud's just like that. Please keep writing!
