bluepenreader 2006-05-13 ch 1,	abuseI would have preferred to see more of Mac confronting his feelings - if any event is going to get him to come out of his usual emotional turtle mode, this would be it. The story is still mostly a recap of events that could have benefited from some more filtering through the lens of Mac's experience and feelings. On the other hand, Mac is quite a difficult character to write, and surrenders his perspective only grudgingly. Be all that as it may, you are showing improvement as a writer. You won't ever improve if you don't write, and certainly if you don't invite and accept concrit. You do both. Now, let this story go, and move on to the next one. Later.

He would wonder if there was something he could have done to stop the chain of events before it got this far. I think you really captured what was would be running through his head. And Aiden would have known that Mac would keep his promis.
