Mari83 12/8/05 . chapter 1I read this one years ago, sometime in 2002, if I remember it right, and am glad now that I found it again, thanks to your new, equally great (but so different) story. |
Trice 6/15/02 . chapter 1 very sad and moving. WEll done! Loved it. If you have more ideas, please put them into writing, cause you really do it wonderfully. Almost creid over this. Thanks for sharing. |
Rajana 4/13/02 . chapter 1Wow. This is sooo good. And I'm sure Logan would have died if Max didn't come back. Wow. |
gilenagile 4/11/02 . chapter 1Great characterization and attention to detail. I can just picture Zack washing the wine glasses and the mug with the tea stain on Logan's desk. Bling's act of gently curling Max's fingers around the envelope says everthing about him.
Love Max's acceptance that she has to live her own life on her own terms and that she can't be what others want her to be. She seems so mature, her indepence is no longer an attempt to run but part of her acceptance of being herself. Definitely the best BBWW fic I've read.
I can’t give him what he wants, even if he had the words to ask.
I still wanted to find the others, but now I’d do it on my own terms. |
Rachel Wilder 4/11/02 . chapter 1What a heart-breaking twist on this episode! But a wonderful story. I do hope you are inspired more often and share more of your wonderful fic with us! |
Kasman 2/19/02 . chapter 1Zanna, this was really lovely. It brought tears to my eyes when I read and then re-read it last night. Please keep on writing. |
All Mighty Terrestrial 12/4/01 . chapter 1I was all primed to be sad, but having Max take over for Logan made it all worth while. Great exploration of what might have happened. |
limona 8/22/01 . chapter 1The idea that everything can change based on different events that occur during a pivotal moment is one of my favorite fic motifs. In particular, I thought your "What if Max hadn't gone back to Logan in Seattle..." scenario played well. It was perfectly plausible for her to go on the road for a while and then work her way back to Seattle, and the result of that was also appropriate. Logan's letter to Max was bittersweet and delightfully angsty. Even though Max and Logan did not live happily ever after, I thought you ended this story on an upbeat note of hope. No matter how dark things seem, there is always an opportunity for a new beginning. You hit most of the characters well, and your dialogue was in character. In particular, I enjoyed Bling as the executor of the will, and your fic reminded me how much I miss Kendra. I enjoyed reading this one. |
Amy 8/9/01 . chapter 1 Wow, you sure know how to depress a girl, don't you. Geez, I've still got tears in my eyes. But, I must say that you did an awesome job. Wether this was your first peice of work, or your 2289, you seem to be a really good author. I'd like it if you didn't make this your last peice. I was recommended here by an author on this site who's amazing, so that just goes to show you that I'm not the only one who thinks so. Keep up the good work. |
QuirkyTallOne 7/20/01 . chapter 1 Nooo Logan! *tears fall down cheek* oh it's so sad. but very god |
a fan 7/5/01 . chapter 1You have a fic! I didn't know. What a great surprise. Well I printed it off and read it during my lunch hour today. It was awesome. Even though Max had no premonitions that something was wrong with Logan you created the feeling of tension and bad news to come. Maybe it was the uneventfulness of her year on the road that made me come to the conclusion that Logan had to be dead. Max's hopefulness as she arrived back in Seattle was so sad knowing what she found out soon after. Of course Logan's death was the only logical thing that would happen if Max wasn't there to transfuse him. Logan's letter was heartwrenching. It was full of all the things he wanted to say but could never bring himself to. I could just picture him watching the rain that night and writing it all down. And Max's response was so painful I also really appreciated your use of Bling. You showed the powerful effect grief can have on people's lives. I found it very poignant that he would find himself spending time with the Jam Pony crew. This was a marvelous fic. I hope inspiration finds you again sometime soon. In any case I always appreciate reading your reviews of my fic and the countless other writers you encourage. a fan |
me myself and i 6/27/01 . chapter 1 oh my god! I have been crying for like 30 minutes now! u r a really good writer! and this was a really great and extremely sad story! i can't stop crying! **sniff sniff** |
BlueMoonRain 6/23/01 . chapter 1This was such a great story. I didn't like the fact that Logan died, but...it is a great testament to their love. Truly wonderful, it should have included a tissue warning. Great job. |
Sara 5/31/01 . chapter 1 What a moving piece, and exceptionally well written. An alternative ending played out very plausibly. Now I'll go dry my hanky! |
 kristy 5/29/01 . chapter 1 Awesome! |
