Wow, very good story. Very, very powerful. You asked some questions at the end of it, and I'm honestly not sure of the answers. He found hope without her, but only in knowing that she might be out there. Almost a denial of sorts. But I think that he would eventually allow himself to express his grief. Especially to someone like Charlie. It would be so much easier since he would understand that pain.
This fic was beautifully done and I'm very glad that you did it. I wish they would have incorporated more of how everyone felt at Max's apparent death. It was almost like it never happened on the show. Everyone was over that scare so quickly. I'm glad that people have decided to write their own perspectives on how everyone would feel, since that would be a big part of their lives.
Great story, as always. Now keep writing those diaries! :)

Okay. I wasn't going to review until the end b/c I just wanted to keep on reading, but the second that someone's story makes me cry, then I need to write a review. Geez, talk about an emotional fic! Wow. Your repition of "an eternity to go" and "Max was dead" was inspired. It's what really made the situation strike home. Beautifully done, it's so terribly, terribly sad though! I want to go finish the next chapter, so I'm going to leave the review here, but I'll be back at the end of the fic. Luv Amy.

Ahh! How did I miss this? I read the first chapter when it first came out, but somehow I missed the other three. You did this so well. Every time you wrote "(length of time) and an eternity to go," my heart broke. The end was indeed realistic. It would take Logan a long time to let his feelings out, but he would eventually. I'm glad you wrote about Charlie and Case too. Man...it's 1:30 am and now I have to go to bed sniffling. It's a good kind of sniffling, though--caused by a good fic. And now the premiere is less than a week away. :)

Yes, this was wonderful! I think it was just right. Logan buried himself, but then when he lets go - watch out! I love the friendship you developed between the four characters. I'd love to see more of that!

Ooh good. You're portrayal of Logan is so real. "Two hours survived and an eternity to go" - that is so powerful! The whole chapter was just heart rending. You can just tell that when Logan finally does let his grief out - if he lets it out - it's going to be awful!

I can't believe it, but I finally got around to reading your other stories. Figured I should while FF is up and running ;) I love this! Wow, it's so sad! And the way you write it, I could see this playing out on screen. I love the humanity you gave to Lydecker, and the part with Bling was really touching. Can you imagine him crying? It would break your heart! I don't think I've seen anyone else try and take on Bling's reaction to AJBAC. This was a good idea!

Wow. Okay you asked some Q's at the end so here goes. Realistic? Hell yeah. Logan's expression? Probably only likely with someone like Charlie who knew what he was feeling too, so yeah the burial would probably be likely until that point (if that made sense, lol). Hope again? Yeah, I think so, I mean he's the guy who fights for a better world with the hope of making a difference. Surrounded by everything he is I think he's capable of great magnitudes of hope. Just on another note, Charlie. Thank God someone else decided to include him in fic. As a huge Sebastian Spence fan I have to ask. The names Joshua & Jordan and the fact that you wrote Charlie into a fic...you wouldn't be another First Wave fan would you? Lol, sorry just couldn't NOT see the parallels, especially with the tasteful subtlety of the names. Well written, even enough so to have me in tears over Charlie & Logan. If there's a chance in hell someone from FOX is reading this....WRITE IT IN!!! PLEASE!!! Anyway, uncharacteristically long review over with. Thanks for sharing.

I think this was very realistic. I can see Logan opening up to Charlie--they share a common bond. I really liked this story, the only thing that could have made it better was if Logan had found Max or had an inkling that she was still alive. You have written another great piece.

Usually I wait until the end of the story to review but this is just so great. I loved this part: "He checked the clock as he walked out of the bedroom. 1:00 pm. It had taken him two hours to get dressed. Two hours survived and an eternity to go." This is wonderfully written.

Wow! What an emotional ride. This is entirely believable. If Logan had stayed in Seattle, he would have never allowed himself to grieve, but confronted with Charlie's loss, yes, I could see him finally breaking down. Another one for my favourites list.

Oh stars! I am crying again! I don't really know how Logan would/will react to loosing Max. I know that he probably would bury his feelings because that's just Logan's way of dealing. But I can also see him turning to Charlie because the pain is *so* deep that he can't hide it. And I can also see him killing himself just to end the pain and be with Max (like my story).
