Though we all know Hiko would never say such that he really valued Kenshin, he still did some things that showed no less. I love Hiko's answer when Kenshin wasn't expecting one. That Hiko saw in Kenshin what Kenshin himself was unable to.:P

But it is a little bit strange father-son relationship, and that's why they don't tell each other. Yes, I think Kenshin would be suprised to see his blades on Hiko's altar, not becaus he didn't think Hiko cares, but because he didn't think Hiko was so sentimental.

I was surprised when Kenshin was able to see past the painful memories his old blades stirred up and was able to look upon them in gratitude for protecting him... wise indeed. I always love seeing Fluffy Hiko even though he only exists in the wonderful word of AUs. It's really a shame that he would rather shoot, er, stab himself then ever admit he actually treasured Kenshin, rather than see him as nothing more than an annoyance. Thanks for another wonderful oneshot.
