Lerris 2009-12-08 . chapter 25Entertaining, yet the story does not seem well though out in places. Some examples are the time travel ambiguities, as well as the pacing which is a bit slow here and there. |
TsuQ 2009-12-07 . chapter 25Hi, I've enjoyed your story thus far, it has had some ups and downs in terms of consistencies in cannon, and the time travel rules seem broken - traveling in time is fundamentally paradoxical unless you do some very tricky things as they do with book 3.
I'd like to see you choose some way to handle things as they are though to resolve the fate of the alternate dimensions, since it seems things have been just hanging in limbo =] The idea of different forms of time travel with different effects is interesting, and could work I think... As long as you have a set of rules that work for you =]
I'm sorry to see Harry end up in Hufflepuff really, Harry and Draco interacting from the same house interests me. I think the way you portray Hufflepuff house though is very interesting, but it sounds like I'd personally loathe it there =]
Thanks for the fic.

Maethoriell 2009-11-09 . chapter 25So I just finished rereading this all.
It's possibly greater than what I had remembered.
Thank you. |
hullabuloo NHT 2009-11-05 . chapter 7Err what's the point of going back in the past or to an alternate dimension to "save the world" when Harry's responsibility is to his friends in his own world? |
Griffin Raven 2009-11-05 . chapter 25Wow, utterely brilliant story! I love the wicked way that Harry is trying to better the future and to prevent unnecessary deaths of not just those he loves but others as well. I love the sneaky way that gain knowledge whilst Harry was still living with the Dursleys, before his adoption by Sirius. |
maddiebooks 2009-11-03 . chapter 25dger House, I would want to be one! keep writing and updating!

ForseenMystic 2009-11-03 . chapter 25I love it, very few time travel stories include a way to communicate with the future or save Quirrell before he gets possessed. Actually I can't think of any. Very nice I can't wait for the update. |
zafaran 2009-11-02 . chapter 25Nice progression. I'd not seen the new chapters on this until tonight, and I was delighted to catch up on chapters I'd not seen before. Well done. I loved the bit with Severus discovering that the reference book Harry had found was a copy of his post-masterwork. I hope you have a chance to save Severus since he's my favorite character in the series, and I utterly appalled when the depth of Dumbledore's betrayal of Harry and Severus was revealed by the postmortem memories at the end of DH. I've sometimes wondered if Dumbledore didn't deliberately encourage the Maurauders to excess in order to turn the poor, abused Slytherin into his pawn in the war. I also sometimes wonder if the "power he knows not" was actually Severus's love for Lily Potter. The prophesy could be read that way if you use an un-named person as the referent for "and He shall have..." Considering how twisty prophesy is anyway, it's not totally out of the question as a valid option. I hope your muse and schedule will allow you to write and post more chapters sometime soon. Keep up the good work. Zafaran {mailto:} zafaran {at} fastmail {dot} fm |
 jojobevco 2009-10-23 . chapter 25Good Story |
you made a mistake 2009-10-21 . chapter 3 you made a mistake letting harry talk to the future.. it was a dumb idea. I find that story boarding the plot ahead of time works well. Go back and fix this before this story becomes like the rest of the trash on this site. |
LoveLifeForever 2009-10-13 . chapter 7Here's my personal bit of theory on how he did what he did. Many people have theorized on this subject and one of the conclusions reached was that time was the fourth dimension. Having established that, what if magic were the fifth dimension? Then i'm going to make a huge leap of logic here. Harry, in a method similar to a tesseract - see A Wrinkle in Time for more information - crossed the fifth demension by becoming pure magical energy, thereby bypassing the normal rules of the fourth dimension. A tesseract can do the same by allowing something to travel faster than the speed of light. To give a cool little example, consider the following: if you could instantaneously travel to a planet hundreds of lightyears away, you could actually see into the past with a powerful enough telescope because light takes so long to travel there. It's an "echo from the past". Following this rule, you could, using the same method, travel into that echo's path. Since you would be breaking the light barrier - and correct me if I'm wrong - then Einstein theorized that you could actually travel into the past. Whew! There it is, my crazy theory on time travel. And since you are quite literally travelling into the past existence and not creating a temporary time warp bubble like I believe a Time-Turner does, you don't have to worry about changing things too much since your old world has no hold on your matter. Though even with a Turner, you can still use transfiguration to alter your perception. I am amazed that so few people have thought of that as a possible "get-back-Black" option for post-OOtP fics. A) transfigure a body to look just like Sirius with a wand. B) do the old Switcheroo. C) Enjoy remaining down time and laugh it off as a big prank! It is so simple! Wait, that's it! Writers have written so much fic, they adopt that mega fatal flaw of no common sense. There is no way Hermione I-must-learn-everything Granger wouldn't have grabbed a Time-Turner or five. She knows what they look like. That's the end of my rant. On a final note: your fic is amazing so far. Keep it up, please! Atleast update once a month and say you don't have it all yet so we know what's going on! Don't abandon! :(
Sincerely
Michael - LoveLifeForever |
