hm, i really like it. the beginning was so full of imagery that i actually imagined it in my mind as if it were a real movie lol.

one question though, if i read this side story and the actual story at the saame time will my reading be affected?

Interesting. Really interesting. There's only one tiny thing I'd like to say that's not really positive. It's spelled colosseum. Unless you're going for your own, Chrysalis-word for the same thing of course. I mean no offence, I just wanted to tell you.

A shame Bryan lost. He deserved to win, but I guess that wouldn't have made much of a story. At least not if he had won in the first round. I suppose he'll get another chance to beat Tahmores into oblivion though.

The main question I have is 'Who is the Ryukai-impostor?'. I guess that's a question that will be answered.

I liked it. It will be fun to see where this is going.

Ah, the first act of the OVA. I've been anxiously awaiting this since you told me you were thinking of doing one a few months ago. I'm happy to say it was WELL worth the wait!

First off the beginning flashback. It really was beautiful. I mean it. More specifically..Ryomaru's death scene. Kinda made me feel sorry for him. And even though I already knew how Ryukai's mother died..it was still a sad scene.

I always say something about Farrell in my reviews and here it is. He is who he is..even in the OVA. XD

Then there was Bryan's fight against Tahmores. It was an exciting fight with a somewhat anti-climatic end. But..thats how it was supposed to be. You'd expect someone like Tahmores to pull a cheap move like that.

I liked how Tala and Kai's fights turned out even if they didn't go into great detail. They were quick fights..and there wasn't much to say. Especially concerning Tala's fight. That was a pretty cheap way to win..but..he is an assassin..and doesn't really have to play by the rules. It was kinda funny that the guy had to be thawed out too...that definately would have been insult to injury.

Lets not forget Charly's fight against Uriel. The term "return fire" takes on a whole new meaning here. I almost wanna say it was a pretty one sided fight..and I think Charly realized it was as well. He He.

Finally..there's "Ryukai's" entrance. The old saying goes: You never get a second chance to make a first impression. And what an impression it was! Most a fear inducing one. I mean..he sliced his opponent in half for being a coward..that definately makes an impression. Not to mention the majority of the crowd was terrified of him.
