abuseGreat work! You managed to make the lesson sound like a real class and at the same time everything being said related perfectly to the letter. Plus it was funny at parts. Eg:

"“Good God,” he muttered as he scuffed at the floor with his foot. “I didn’t know I was such a suck-up.”"

So well done :P

abuseLove it, love it! I was really attracted by the Common Sense title because I love that essay by Thomas Paine. It's one of the best pieces of revolutionary lit. I think. Really well-written, and an impressive amount of history facts thrown in. Lance's letter was italicized at some points and then non-italicized in others, so that was confusing. Otherwise, that's my only complaint. Great job.

abuseI don't like Lancitty, but I liked this. It was very well written, and entertaining.

abuseHm...
Liked the quotes entwined in the story, and I thought Lance was very well-developed and in-character.

abuseThat was cute ^_^ It's been quite awhile since I've read a decent Lancitty fic, so I'm glad I stumbled across yours. Mixing in Paine's "Common Sense" was a nice touch, it fit neatly with what you were trying to convey. And I loved Lance's reaction at the end, it was just so...Lance. Nice work ^_^
