Oh my God, this story is so sweet, I'm crying here.

Beautifully written. You have an excelent grasp on Snape's personality and Harry is easily believable as well.

I like it that though there are setbacks again and again in their relationship it developes frequently.
I was also laughing (or maybe wanting to hit Snape with a book) for his petty "revenge"-thoughts. That even though he grew fond of the boy, he blamed his plan for it.
Draco is very well charactered, too. I always had the opinion that he could be friendly and caring to someone close.
I also don't think that Narcissa is very out of character. After all she isn't mentioned that much in the books and when we see her for the first time at the Quidditch Worldcup it's through the eyes of Harry who she would then think below her. I always think of her as a caring mother, sometimes maybe a little bit overprotective.^^
Lucius on the other hand...I don't know. I have read so many fanfics where he is either the evil overlord or the caring father and I still can't decide what works better for me.
In your story it is clear that Draco being abused himself, helps him understand Harry's situation.

All in all I adore your story very much. I hope of course for it to be continued some time, but it is also understandeble if you don't.
If that was the case, might I offer you the advise to change the last paragraph of your 12th chapter into an open end to the story. It would only need a few changes as it kind of already feels like an open ending, but would also bring a closure to your story.
Of course you don't have to act on this, I love the story anyway and will add it to my favourites immediately.

Awesome! I absolutely love how you've dealt with the affects upon Harry of the child abuse that he suffered for over 10 years at the hands of the Dursleys. You have shown a great deal of sensitivity and understand for how Harry would be affected by the abuse, and interactions with other people. Its very easy to understand why Severus is/was so bent on revenge on the James & Lily indirectly through Harry. After all Severus suffered abuse at school, and probably at home as well. I've often heard that those who are abused sometimes become abusers themselves. I think that Severus really does want to help Harry, but his own insecurities and the abuse he suffered at the hands of James Potter and his friends is constantly thrown at him as Harry looks so like James. Once again, utterely brilliant story to which I can't wait to read more. What will happen once Severus and Harry return to hogwarts? How did Harry managed to apparate to the Dursleys, and did he arrive in his cupboard? As he certainly didn't enter through the front door as Petunia seem unaware of his presence?

You have made me cry four times, in the first three chapters, for this i am afraid that i cannot continue with the next chapters. Do not take this as flaming as i also enjoyed the story line and the depiction of the characters and the your style of writing. Maybe at another time i will again attempt to finish your 'fic but for now it will be added to both my favorites and my community.

Side note, could you maybe update or put it up for adoption as there is nothing worse than beginning a story to find that it will never be finished or has been abandoned without informing your readers.
