Tirya King 6/8/06 . chapter 1Ah, I remember some of this dialogue ;) Very sweet fic, it is very nice to see those two away from the battlefield now and then.
And it's not quite my custom to respond to others reviews in a fic that's not mine, but...c'mon now, people. Let's grow up just a wee bit. I've seen parents kiss their children on the lips. I've seen siblings do it. Since when is there an invisible sign over your lips saying 'for opposite sex and significant other only!11!one!1!' It's affection, people, that's all it is. Are two males not allowed to be affectionate anymore? Oh that's right, two big bad warrior robots...they don't hug or kiss or show love or comfort each other. *Shakes fists at those pesky caring siblings.*
And um...it's not like there wasn't a slash warning up either. Let's say my good friend Bob hates gay people. And let's say he willingly goes to see Brokeback Mountain, knowing full well what was in the movie. And let's say my good friend Bob comes to me after the movie, all huffy, and says, "how DARE they put gay people in that movie! I hate that stuff!" You know what I'd say? I'd say, "..." That's what I'd say. And so I say to you, dear anonymous friend. I say '...' to you. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Indeed, everyone's entitled to self-torture through reading stuff they know they don't like. But if you smack yourself with a hammer and then say it hurts... there's something wrong with that. |
