Very nicely done. I love how James spent more time worrying about the sock than the date. And, more importantly, I loved the way you described in detail just the way that James was worrying about the sock, because it made it more realistic.

Oh, I really liked that. I loved your description of his foot sticking to the bottom of his shoe through his sock. I hate that feeling. Hate it with a fiery, burning passion. I hate holey socks. But I liked James' holey sock. Or perhaps I should call it holy?

It was good all the way through, but the last line is what especially made me like it. What a clever way to tie it all together! And it just made my heart smile because I am The Sap Queen and anything even REMOTELY sappy, gooey or fluffy makes me squee with girlish glee. Muah! Loved it!

Two favourite lines: "James thinks Padfoot's an idiot," and "Behold Failed Attempt #27." Marvelous!
