This is crazy! Every time I finish reading one of your stories, I have the same response: "Oh. My. Gosh. THAT WAS AMAZING!" I must be starting to sound like a parrot now! In Chimera, the first one of your L.J. Smith fics that I read, I thought that Aspen was pretty cool, and then in Ripples, I loved that Cecilia was there, because you always need a Salone! Then after reading this... well, I'd happily take Tam's place! I think that Aspen would have to be one of my favorite characters from your fics! ( I also loove Lace Stormstrong [I think that's right!] from Chimera!)

That was bloody brilliant!

I love that there is soo much intense action, and then these really touching bits, and then some parts when I'm laughing so hard I have to stuff a fist in my mouth to keep from waking everyone up! ( and that's because I stay up late after everyones asleep not being able to close the laptop reading your fics! )

Whenever I show up to class with this crazy look in my eye and start freaking out and babbling nonsense trying to explain stuff in a rush... well, my friends have figured out that I have read another fic of yours.

They've also figured out that I won't stop bugging them until I've exhausted myself and my toung!

I can't wait for the next chappie of Ripples!

This is such a lovely little story. I really like Tam and Aspen, both together and as individual characters. They mesh very well.

I thought the plot twist was interesting as well, particularly since I perceive Aspen as a somewhat feminine character.

On a side note, I think it'd be helpful if you'd put these stories of Ryars Valley into some sort of chronological order via the title. I found it difficult, because I couldn't figure out which story came first until I was actually immersed in reading them.

Aspen is an extremely lovable vampire. The entire backstory of a past love triangle gone wrong (and Aspen's hapless luck in having once been a girl- the entire character you have created fits) made the story all the more complex. I seem to be reading your chronicles all out of order, but each story only adds to the complex verse that is your stories. This could be published- if you ever do create a work that hits the publishing houses, please let me know. I may have said this before, but I have a very short memory for things I've said- I'd rather remember stories like this. I look forward to reading your works, both old and new- it may take me a while, to get through everything. That is not at all a sad event- a prolific writer of your talent is to be thoroughly enjoyed for as long as possible.

Such comic relief were Blue's lines..."maybe it's Maybelline" hahahaha! And the one about keeping his heart in a jar next to his bed...aww, I'm so glad Tam and Aspen ended up together! I need that after your absolutely horribly heart-wrenching ending to Chimera...
