This little story's a really good one.

I think my favorite part of this oneshot was how subtly and delicately you cast light on Athrun and Lacus's characters, and developed parts of them that others wouldn't normally notice. They seem to GROW in this fic, or, at least, show a growth that's developed over time, and hidden inside them. I love it when Athrun talks about what he's observed in Lacus, and her response. I also really liked how they both seem to have noticed change in each other, and you're kind of left wondering what has changed, and what hasn't. The way you finished the story was fitting and nice, because you can clearly see Lacus's struggle with herself, and I like how you finished the story off with her decision to 'stay'.

This story, I think, requires a contemplative mood to really appreciate. It's emotional, but I think it could have even more feeling, perhaps by striking more contrast between the various emotions in the fic. But yay for Rose!fic. Write more AsuRaku soon, darling.

a one-shot? it seemed to hav the potential to develop more though.. sigh

Sometimes I leave the Fanfiction verse, because I can't stand the poor writing...then I come back and I read one of your fics. They always remind me of what I love most about Athcus. This fic was so true to their relationship, and when I look at the last few lines I can see love. I hate thinking that had he asked her to stay with him in ep. 36 of Seed...then maybe she would have stayed. Awesome fic.

so very sweet...I hadn't expected that when I read the summary. and you know something popped up into my head because of this one-shot. If Lacus is like spring; bubbly, fresh and youthful...then Athrun is like autumn; a bit tragic, a bit cold, changed but still beautiful. It's just...something I thought of. I hope it might give you an idea if ever you think of making another fic about them. Good luck and great fic!

aw, very beautiful athrun x lacus one-shot. the way it was described, i could practically see it happening in my head. it was...mystical. very mystical. i felt myself standing there, watching them dance to slow ballroom music. it was so lovely and fragile like a red rose: no matter how much you describe it, there's no limit to it's beauty. it just gets better and better until the end when it's perfect. -
