This chapter broke my heart. I loved Shang's tenderness toward Mulan and the way he comforted her when she relived the events of the near-execution in her nightmare. Beautiful job.

They are both lovely, serious and capture the relationship between Mulan and Shang so well.
It's quite hard to find a decent Mulan fanfic out here, but this one, will be saved for future reading!

I hope you continue writing, since you're so good at it, maybe an outtake?
