At the end of chap. 20 and 21 I was almost crying... Really good story, it's a pity I cannot hit that 'favorite' button more then once..

I enjoyed that very much. :) I especially like the conversation between Emily and Victor--very interesting twist on Emily's feelings/motivations. And Victor was very much in-character, in my opinion. Lovely job! And I hope you write something else soon. :)

I didn't think they were too mushy...they're in that obsessive newly-wed phase in this fic. :) I like how you have Barkis doing an almost Snidely Whiplash-esque monologue here--it seems to suit him. He's a verbose Victorian villain. :) And I thought the ending was fine, personally. If it bothers you, though, I'd suggest just taking out the last sentence, and ending with the Elder's line (we all know what "Hopscotch!" will do, after all. :D).

An excellent fic! ^_^ I've recently got into Corpse Bride when the movie was played over the Halloween holiday. (I saw it twice!) While not a fan fo Nightmare Before Christmas, I LOVED the Corpse Bride! I just got the DVD this past Saturday. I don't know if I'll start writing CB fics, but I've got a couple of fanarts at deviantART: A paper doll and the costume pattern.

Please continue this and write more. I enjoy your writing very much.

I didn't see the review, but I'm surprised someone told you Victor and Vikkie were too mushy and out of character... Was it someone who writes VictorxEmily sotries by chance? Because it's always looked to me like Victor and Vikkie are just very loving people who are happy to be with each other... I think OOC for those two would be, you know... all over each other ALL the time, three-minute long kisses, that sort of thing ;) It looks to me like you're doing just fine.

This is my personal opinion, but I think that Victor are Victoria are a bit mushy at times in this story, and I think it's out of character. I won't mind if you continue the story that way, this is just some constructive critism. I hope I haven't hurt your feelings. it's still a good story.

Like I've said before, you really have a flair for suspense! The scene with Barkis and Victoria is especially good. I really love the way you write Victoria--it seems as though you really understand her. I'll be checking my email obsessively looking for an update! :)

Yes, the ending felt open...but I thought you meant to do that. :) It's quite creepy in a "what next?" kind of way. Victor with the sword was great. And you know, I like how you characterize Victor and Victoria both as people who are usually quiet and reserved, but have the capacity to be tough as nails when threatened. Good job, again, and I'm looking forward to the next installment! :)

Ha! Writing late at night must have a positive effect on you, b/c this chapter was the best so far! I especially love the way you ended it--leaving the eerie possibility of something worse happening later on. It was, to quote my old English teacher, AWEsome! Rock ON! XPXD
