Intriguing and fantastically written - great attention to detail in description and I adored the banter between Frollo and Asmodei.

“It’s a curious habit of yours, to ask for the opposite of what you desire.” - that made me smirk.

Alas, since this was uploaded three years ago, I suppose there is no chance of a continuation?

I know Hugo's novel by heart and Claude Frollo wasn't a lecherous man...He was a virgin!...And all this demon worshipping stuff is stupid!

This is intriguing and it's obvious you know how to handle old speech really well. Not only do I like the premise, but the interaction between Frollo and Asmodei. Serious and witty at the same time. Asmodei is a terribly good foil for Frollo's character. I hope you'll finish this fic. Sometimes, writers just stop half-way and it's too bad. Yours is really good. Book Frollo's my favourite character, hope he doesn't suffer too much in this fic. =) Wonder how it'll turn out.

This is a delightful story. I was so amused by the banter between Frollo and Asmodei. I was also impressed with the author's mastery of description, and of describing character through action.

Frollo conjures up a demon? Riotous laughter. Said demon is creepy at first, but is then revealed to take the shape of a blase dandy? More riotous laughter. Frollo carps at and bosses said demon in the most imperious way possible? Yet more riotous laughter. Said demon and Frollo actually banter back and forth, bickering like an old couple? You get the picture.

I love the following phrases:

"...bent upon the triangle chalked in front of him a gaze that could have withered a basilisk" --this made me laugh out loud.

"He heard the demon chuckle: a suffusive sound, like poison inking a chalice with slow black tendrils." --this creeped me out in a delicious way.

"It’s a curious habit of yours, to ask for the opposite of what you desire." --Right on, Asmodei!

"You know that I saw you with her. You looked at me, and you laughed." --that's one one of my favorite lines in the novel--when Frollo describes that adorable goat as "laughing at him."

And I love that your Frollo--after having summoned a demon, for goodness sake--staunchly refuses to admit what he really wants.

Well done. Do write more!

whoa! i have not been to this section in a long time and i'm glad i did it now. keep working on this, cause its getting intriguing. all the fics featuring claude frollo are either about the movie version of him or they're just downright impossible. you're actually writing him doing something one could really envision him doing (with a supernatural twist, but that's ok) and its a breath of fresh air.
