You know, I've been toying with the idea of writing an apocalypse fic one of these days, but I'm not so sure now. After reading yours... Wow. It's so tragic. It's very well written, but hard to get through. I like how you left subtle hints as to what was going on, then mentioned it near the end. Greater impact. Nice work.

The contrast between the fantasy and reality makes it so much sadder.

Oh my god, I'm crying right now. This is so sad and tragic because it seems so realistic. I'm even sadder becasue I happen to be listening to "you and Me" by lifehouse right now, and when you mix it with this story it makes it so sad. Amazing writing.
