Lucius blames Severus for Draco’s failure – haven’t really seen that attitude from him in other fics, and I like it; it seems to fit that he would blame someone other than his own son. And then when he said that Draco was his sacrifice!! Great job. And the rest of the story is equally incredible. The whole idea is very original, I've never seen anything similar, and I just love all the dramatic irony in it – Draco being sentenced to death and so on partly because of what he did to Hermione, but after he’s captured she is feeling sad that he’s not visiting her... And her seeing the article at the end and saying good riddance, while waiting for ‘him’ to show up... And her beginning to fall in love with him just when he’s not around anymore... I could continue, but there are so many layers of irony. I love it. The story also leaves me to wonder, did Draco ever tell them where Hermione is? Did Draco even die, because all the article said was that he was sentenced? Is there a picture on the article that might let Hermione know that Draco Malfoy is *him*? Will Hermione ever be found and regain her memory? Anyway, I absolutely love this story, as... weird... as it is. It’s got to be one of my favorites of yours (and one of my favorites in general). Thanks for writing! (And sorry for the excessively long review.) |
