My heart went out to Dean and John when they realised what effect their actions had had on Sam. I don't blame Dean as this was what he needed to do keep his family safe, and John thought that he was acting in the boys best interests. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Looking forward to the next chapter. |

I don't quite blame Dean as much as he blames himself; clearly his aversion to chick-flick moments comes from the way he protects himself, too, and how he deals with the horrors of his own life. But Sam does need something different, as we've seen from the show, and I love that Dean is so willing to try that, even way beyond his comfort levels, if it'll help Sam. I also really appreciate Dean's logic here. Yes, Sam's idea that killing himself would free his family from the demon is logical in a horrible way, and plausible. But Dean's totally right, too, in pointing out that he and John would not be okay after that. I'm glad he said it, and that Sam heard it. Finally, I love some of the imagery, esp. Dean's massively tall brother wanting to disappear into the comforter. :> I hope you'll keep at this story until it's finished! |

I especially liked tha aha moment when John realized what life was like for his young son. I hope you write more Supernatural fic in the future because this is good stuff! |
