Wow this is something I started reading on a whim and found myself totally engrossed with, keep it up!

I understand how you feel about .. the whole lost for inspiration thing. All I can say .. is take your times, and if you need to .. go and look back over a few old eposiode for some spark or something of inspiration.

THis is what I used to do when I got stuck ...! ANyway, I will wait patiently for you to get out of your rut, and just so you know .. I like this chapter as well. The insight .. is wonderful, and I can't wait for the next chapter.

Well...I wasn't really gonna review. All my questions were pretty much answered and i figured that if i didnt have anything useful to say I wouldn't say anything at all. That and I sound like a big dork when i review. But you lack inspriration and stuff and i figured i might as well say something. I don't know if you feel this way or not, but if you feel you have to take a break and find your inspiration, or if you feel that you can't continue, you can stop writing. You won't disapoint any of your fans or anything. I am sure that we would understand. Not that i want you to stop writing! I just thought that maybe I should reasure you about that. I think a lot of writers lose inspiration but force themselves to write anyway and that kills their passion and intrest for their story. So yeah...and if you don't feel that way...i just completely made a goober out of myself. Now, about this chapter, the only thing i really want to comment on is that the last scene with Iroh and Katara was kind of weird. It ended so abruptly that it made me feel half of it was cut off. They are talking about how they know they can trust him and then they are talking about what it would be like if he was ruler of the fire nation and then BAM! they go into how he became the "Dragon of the West". Then Toph interupts and the scene pretty much ends. I know that that is pretty much how Iroh is and all, but i dunno, it was just weird. I think i understood...but maybe i don't...maybe you should just ignore this whole thing...Oh! and one last thing. Sokka is the king of patience, I would have kicked Zuko by now. _ Thank you very much!

Just some thoughts that popped into my mind while I was reading - just thoughts.

The story is getting into a subject matter which is very debatable - war can actually speed up the pace of technology - I think it's because more funds are poured into research and development.

The more land, the more resources, the better. A small kingdom just doesn't develop as fast as an empire though there are limits to how large an empire can expand before it just falls apart.

Sokka is morally right but the Fire Nation has the practical right. It's similar to the stand-off between environmentalists and businesspeople.

Also, it has been shown in canon that peace didn't exist all the time even with an Avatar who has mastered all four bending skills. During Kyoshi's time, that Chin guy was running amuck over the Earth Kingdom. The Avatar is apparently not a cure-all.

Another fine chapter, very witty as always. I'm feeling a bit under the weather so it must be a short review, but your adorable line on Iroh wishing he was younger when he thinks about Katara made me laugh out loud.

I also enjoyed more Zuko/Sokka bonding, I think things are finally getting through.

Very short, but so ohmygod cute. I love Iroh, he's so awesome. I wish I had an uncle that wise and clever and fun and loyal. Zuko's and Sokka's jaws are gonna hit the ground when they find out Uncle has joined the team. _ Hee!

Really good chapter. I can't wait for an update.

Wow, ... I wonder how Zuko is going to take being told that he is a bad guy to his face. Will there be a fight next chapter? Man, I can't wait to find out! Oh yeah, what did Zuko use to fight with anyway .. was this sword to hand combat?

Iroh. It's got to be Iroh! I think you're going to wait until it's confirmed in canon before revealing? I'm putting my money on Iroh as Aang's firebending master in your story and in canon.

For some reason the last part reminded me of the scene in Ep Avatar Roku wherein Zuko bullied a civilian to tell him where the trio had gone off to.

*giggles* My god, this is hilarious! Sokka thinking out loud around Zuko may be a hugely bad idea but it makes for really funny comments. Sokka's talking his way out of Pipsqueak was awesome, and his little speech about Right and Wrong was Beautiful and so very Him. I can hardly wait until His Royal Angstness is back up to fighting form. Things will be awesome in the face.

Jet got what was coming to him, but somehow I have the feeling he won't leave the duo alone for long.

The speed of your review reply scared me, it came like 5 minutes after I reviewed. The fact that you're so serious about replying to reviews scared me even more. I felt like I did something wrong when I reviewed _ I really don't have much to say about this chapter. I really liked it. I felt kinda bad for Zuko though. His skills are no where near where they used to be and that has to be really frustrating. I was wondering (because I never really understood this in Prison Conversations) but is Zuko able to use the same wicked blue fire as his sister or is his flame still the same, only stronger due to the hardships he endured? I also wonder if he realizes he has become Sokka's pet project. He would probably be pissed if he realized that. Or maybe he already knows and I haven't realized he knows. As much as I love your stories I seem to be always confused by the things that are and aren't said. The boys seem to have quiet understandings about each other that make me wonder how much I am missing out on. But that is probably the point I suppose. Thank you for the wonderful story!

o! What happens! I am horrible with cliffhangers. To tell the truth, I haven't seen most of book 2 yet. The eppies only came on on fridays and once a week is enough for me to forget completely that the show even exists! I am a bad fangirl. I always loved the Jet episode though, it showed that Sokka isnt as stupid as everyone and their pet dog thinks he is. I also loved how Jet hit on Kitara the whole time. But seriously that kid is insane. How are Zuko and Sokka gonna get out of this mess? I like how Sokka is trying to make Zuko think. It was horrible that Zuko just up and left Iroh. Wouldn't Aang and company know about the jailbreak by now? Or is the fire nation keeping it under wraps? Or maybe news doesnt travel that fast. I really really don't like how bossy and commanding Kitara can be. I know its necessary, but really, she's dealing with a 12 year old for cryin' out loud. Hm, I am curious about your title. Could you explain that a bit? Totally love your story and your writing style. My only complaint is that the chappies are kinda short. But that isnt a big deal. You are a busy woman and it is your story. Therefore you can make the chapters as long as you want.

Another magnificent chapter. I have to admit I'm extremely curious as to who's going to be Aang's firebending teacher. I have a hunch, and I'll see if I'm right. Please update soon.
